Artist's Comments
This was a final project for my Advanced Typography class; to create a type specimen book on a certain typeface family. I chose the Emigre Foundry's "Solex" typeface.
After some roughing, I cam up with the concept of espionage, and decided that worked really well with the typeface. I designed it with MGS in mind, but tried to make it look as mature and serious as possible, without the stereotypical "Video Game" or "007" aspects becoming dominant. The print out came out good, but the double sided pages were horribly off (by like a cm). After a long time and alot of stress, I got it mocked up. These are just some of the photos taken of the piece. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
